On January 8, the delegation of Chinese-French cooperative education institution from School of Engineering and Computer Science headed by Vice President Claire Lecocq visited Chang'an University for the first time. President Sha Aimin met with visitors at the VIP room of Beichen Building on Weishui Campus. Li Kaiyi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Chang'an University, The heads from Office of the President, Office of the International Cooperation and Exchange, Office of Academic Affairs, School of Information Engineering attended the meeting.
President Sha Aimin welcomed the delegation of EPITA and expressed his gratitude to EPITA for its efforts in deepening the cooperation between the two universities. He introduced the basic situation of the school to promote international education in recent years. He pointed out that the two universities have built a profound friendship over the years and carried out extensive and in-depth cooperation, especially the first enrollment of the cooperative education program this year has achieved exciting results. He said that the results of these achievements is mainly based on the deep international cooperation between the two parties. In the future, CHD will continue to strengthen cooperation on the basis of the existing cooperation, and deepen the model of cooperation between the two parties. He stressed that the relevant responsible units in CHD should take the delegation’s visit as an opportunity to sort out the problems, carefully analyze them, and strive to solve them, so as to lay a solid foundation for further promoting the internationalization of CHD.
Vice President Claire Lecocq expressed her gratitude for the warm reception of CHD and highly agreed with the cooperation proposal put forward by President Sha Aimin. She briefly introduced the development of EPITA. She pointed out that EPITA cherishes the cooperation and exchanges with CHD and is committed to deep-level cooperation in a wide range of fields. The joint building Sino-foreign cooperative education projects is a typical interpretation of the two parties' in-depth cooperation and common development. She said that through field visits, the delegation has a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the subject construction, personnel training, faculty construction, scientific research and international cooperation of CHD. She hopes to continue to promote the pragmatic cooperation between the two parties, and strive to promote the establishment of a deeper cooperative relationship between the two universities.
During this visit, the delegation of EPITA comprehensively understand the construction of cooperative education institutions, laboratories and disciplines, participated in a number of symposiums and meetings. The two parties conducted in-depth discussions, reached consensus on cooperative education projects, joint training programs and future mutual visits and exchanges.
