On the afternoon of May 10, 2023, Ian Jarvis, director of the Admissions Office of the School of Engineering of the University of Leicester and his delegation visited our university. Gao Wei, deputy director of the Office of International Cooperation & Exchange, met the guests, and Zhang Jingwen participated in the reception.

Deputy director Gao Wei extended a warm welcome to Ian Jarvis, director of the Admissions Office of the School of Engineering of the University of Leicester, and his delegation. He introduced to Ian Jarvis the basic situation of the university, the implementation of the project between the Chang’an University and the University of Leicester over the past years, and expressed his views on the current trend of undergraduate students studying abroad and the cooperation mode between the two universities in the future.

Ian Jarvis, director of Admissions of the School of Engineering, University of Leicester, expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and briefly introduced the basic situation and internationalization plan of the University of Leicester. Ian Jarvis had an in-depth discussion with our office on the feasibility of summer programs, the promotion of undergraduate and master programs, and the cooperation and development of the Chang’an University and University of Leicester in the future, which laid a solid foundation for more comprehensive and practical cooperation between the two sides in the future, and provided ideas for the exploration of the internationalization of universities under the new situation of the Office of International Cooperation & Exchange.

After the meeting, Ian Jarvis gave a lecture on the undergraduate and master program for our students.
