On the afternoon of July 9, the International Symposium on Water Security and Water Ecology of One Belt and One Road, a subcommittee of the 2022 Silk Road Educational Cooperation and Exchange Conference, was held in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. More than 100 people attended the conference, including Prof. Pingping Luo from Chang'an University, Shaanxi Province Hundred Talents Program, Dr. Deng Hongzhang, Party Secretary of Chang'an University College of Water Resources and Environment, Prof. Huang Guanwen, Professor of Chang'an University and Deputy Director of the International Division, Prof. Wang Zhenhong, Second Professor of Chang'an University, Prof. Wang Zhenhong from Shaanxi Province, domestic and foreign experts and scholars in the field of water ecology, and representatives of Chang'an University teachers and students. Prof. Pingping Luo from Chang'an University chaired the conference, and Deputy Director Guanwen Huang gave an opening welcome speech.

At the conference, the experts and scholars made far-sighted suggestions, which pointed out the scientific planning for Xi'an's urban security and sustainable development, as well as the ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River basin.
