On November 12, director of the Office of International Cooperation Jiang Zaiwen signed an agreement on joint training of doctoral students with Vikas Thakur, dean of the School of Civil Engineering and Environment of Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).
According to the agreement, NTNU and CHD will conduct the joint doctoral training programs in the future. Students will complete the joint training of doctoral degree under the guidance of their instructors, and receive the doctoral degree of both universities if they meet the requirements of the two universities. During the signing of the contract, representatives of the two universities exchanged views and reached consensus on talent training and other issues. The two universities will continue to deepen their cooperative relationship on the basis of equality and mutual benefit, complementary advantages, mutual coordination and common development, and jointly promotes international education cooperation and exchange as well as scientific and technological innovation.
The Norwegian University of Science and Technology is one of the top universities of science and engineering in Europe, ranking seventh among the European universities of engineering. In the 2017 World University Ranking, NTNU ranks 101-150 among all the universities cross the global. NTNU has five alumni who have won the Nobel Prize.
