On November 12,Professor Inge Hoff, the chief expert in transportation from NTNU and three his companions visited our university. President Sha Aimin in company with the responsible people of the Graduate School, Office of Science and Technology, Office of International Cooperation and Exchange and School of Highway Engineering, met with the guests in the VIP room of Beichen Building of Weishui Campus.

President Sha Aimin welcomed Professor Inge Hoff and his companions. He briefly introduced the development of Chang’ an University from the aspects of discipline characteristics, talent cultivation, faculty construction, scientific research and so on, and emphasized the university's efforts to promote international exchanges and cooperation by giving full play to the advantages of its disciplines and specialties. He pointed out that over the years, our university had been committed to its internalized development, constantly giving full play to the discipline characteristics, and trained a large number of high-level engineering management talents for the infrastructure construction industry, and that our alumni and scientific research teams had been deeply involved and played an important role in the major projects in the field of infrastructure construction. He said that the NTNU is one of the top universities of science in Europe and that CHD and NTNU had similar disciplines and complementary advantages, so there was a broad space for cooperation. He hoped to take professor Inge Hoff's visit as an opportunity to carry out in-depth research cooperation between the two universities and cooperation in talents cultivation at the right time and thus set a good example for the cooperation between the two universities, and comprehensively promote all-round cooperation in joint talent training, teachers exchanges, scientific research and so on.
Inge Hoff thanked for the warm reception, appreciated the outstanding contributions made by CHD in the field of infrastructure construction, and agreed with President Sha Aimin's idea of cooperation. He gave a brief introduction to the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. He pointed out that through this visit, he learned that Chang 'an University was a high-level university with distinctive academic features, strong educational strength and excellent social services and that NTNU was very willing to carry out comprehensive and in-depth cooperation with CHD. He stressed that the purpose of this visit was to implement the intention of bilateral communication and cooperation in the early stage, sign the agreement on joint cultivation of doctoral students of the two universities. He hoped that through the in-depth development of the joint cultivation of doctoral students, the two universities could continuously drive the cooperation in various fields and at a deeper level, and strive to establish a closer cooperative relationship between the two universities.
After the meeting, Inge Hoff and his companions had an in-depth exchange of views on the joint doctoral training program with the leaders of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange and the School of Highway Engineering and visited the Transportation Museum as well as the Wind Tunnel Laboratory.
