On October 22, 2019, Tracy Ruchmer, vice minister of postgraduate department of Macquarie University, Australia, visited our university. Deputy director of the Office of International Cooperation Gao Wei and vice President zhang the postgraduate school Zhang Jiaqi met with the guests.

Deputy directorGao Wei extended a warm welcome to vice minister Tracy Ruchmer and his delegation, and briefly introduced the basic situation of Changan University from the aspects of its historical evolution, university-running scale, discipline characteristics and international development, with emphasis on the status quo of international exchange of postgraduates in our university. He pointed out that our university had always attached importance to the cooperation and exchangeswith universities in such countries of developed education as Australia and that the two sides have a certain foundation and large space for the future cooperation And he wanted to takevice minister Tracy Ruchmer’s visit as an opportunity to deepen mutual understanding, enhance mutual trust, and promote cooperation and exchanges between the two universities in such areas as teacher-student exchanges and cooperative scientific research.

Vice minister Tracy Ruchmer expressed her sincere thanks to deputy directorGao Wei for his warm reception and briefly introduced the basic situation of Macquarie University. He also expressed deep agreement with deputy director’s basic idea of cooperation, and was willing to further the cooperation and communication of both sides concerning postgraduate education.
