Professor James E. Quick, Assistant President of the Southern Methodist University, visited CHD

On the morning of June 6, Professor James E. Quick, Assistant to the President of the Southern Methodist University and Dean of the Graduate School, was invited to visit our university. Vice President Zhao Xiangmo met with the visitors in the VIP room of the Academic Exchange Center. The principals of the International Office and the Geodetic College met with him.

 

The Meeting

 

Vice President Zhao Xiangmo welcomed Professor James E. Quick's visit. He briefed the guests on the history of the university, the scale of the university, the characteristics of the discipline, the cultivation of talents, and the international exchanges. He highlighted the cooperation and exchanges between the school and American universities. He pointed out that the university has always been committed to international education, focusing on cooperation with well-known American universities such as Southern Methodist University. He emphasized that the two sides have already launched fruitful and pragmatic cooperation in the fields of teacher cooperative research and student joint training, and have a solid foundation for cooperation. I hope that with the visit of Professor James E. Quick as an opportunity, the two universities will continue to expand. Cooperation and exchange in the field.

 

Professor James E. Quick expressed sincere gratitude to the warm reception of our university and agreed with Vice President Zhao Xiangmo on promoting the international development of the university and the basic ideas of the cooperation between the two universities. From the university development history, university scale, subject setting, scientific research, the international exchange and other aspects introduced the basic situation of the Southern Methodist University. He pointed out that Chang'an University is a high-level university with outstanding academic advantages. Both sides have distinct academic characteristics and broad prospects for cooperation. He emphasized that the visit aims to further deepen mutual understanding and enhance mutual trust. He hopes that the two sides will establish inter-school cooperation and establish all-round cooperation as soon as possible.
