On May 24th, Steven R. Manchester, President of the International Society of Ancient Plants and Professor of the University of Florida, was invited to visit our university. He briefed the guests on the basic situation of the university and highlighted the international exchanges of traditional superior disciplines such as geology. He pointed out that Professor Steven R. Manchester is a well-known expert in the field of international geology research, with profound academic attainments and rich academic achievements. He emphasized that Xi'an is rich in geological resources, and the school's hardware and software research on geological research is complete and the foundation is solid, which provides good conditions for in-depth cooperation between the two sides. He hopes that the visit of Professor Steven R. He briefly introduced the development of the University of Florida and his international academic exchanges and cooperation. Dr. Steven R. Manchester is an internationally renowned geologist, president of the International Society of Ancient Plants, a life member of the American Botanical Society, the American Society of Plant Taxomists, director of the Department of Ancient Botany at the Florida Museum of Natural History, and a professor at the University of Florida, University of California, USA. He is also the visiting professor at several universities and natural history museums. More than 280 high-level academic papers were published by SCI.
