CHD Delegation Went to Russia to The 5th SRTUPF & Visited Cooperation Colleges

From November 13th to 15th, the 5th China-Russia Transportation University Presidents Forum was held at the National Chiao Tung University in St. Petersburg, Russia. The deputy secretary of the school party committee, Bai Hua, attended the event and gave a keynote speech. The principal responsible for the International Department was accompanied.

 

The Chairman of the Russian Federation Council, Valentina Matviyenko, and the Minister of Communications of the Russian Federation, Yevgeny Titrich, sent a letter of congratulations to the Forum. Li Xikui, Secretary General of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, and the Director of the State Railways of the Russian Federation, Fula Mr. Kimir Chebez, the Consul General of the People's Republic of China in St. Petersburg, Sun Lai-lin, President of the Eurasian International Association, Feng Yaowu, and other leaders of the Chinese and Russian government and relevant departments attended the opening ceremony of the forum and delivered a speech. The forum was held by Alexander St. Petersburg State University of Communications. Hosted by Pennychev.

In the forum, Deputy Secretary Bai Hua made a keynote speech on "Exploration and Practice of Talent Cultivation Models in Chang'an University", emphasizing the important responsibilities of transportation colleges and universities in promoting national economic and social development and serving the national strategy. Deputy Secretary Bai Hua introduced the orientation and characteristics of Chang'an University to the universities and colleges attending the conference, and the innovative practices, specific work ideas and excellent alumni of the training of transportation personnel. He hopes to take this forum as an opportunity to further deepen the cooperation and exchanges among the universities in the alliance, enhance mutual friendship, build more consensus, and build a community of destiny in transportation universities in China, Russia and BRICS, in education, science and technology, humanities, etc. The field has made positive contributions to the long-term development of Sino-Russian and BRICS relations.

In response to the BRICS leaders’ initiative to strengthen cooperation and exchanges in the economic, cultural, and scientific fields between BRICS countries, strengthen resource sharing among transportation universities in BRICS, enhance international reputation, promote the export of educational services, and serve the development of the transportation industry. The first BRICS National University of Communications Presidents Alliance Seminar was held. The meeting voted on the proposal to establish a BRICS National School of Transportation Alliance, voted to pass the BRICS National School Presidents Union Charter and Alliance Management Committee. Our school was elected as the vice-chairman of the BRICS National School of Transportation.

 

More than 20 Chinese universities including Beijing Jiaotong University, Chang'an University and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, 12 Russian universities such as St. Petersburg National Chiao Tung University, Russian Jiaotong University, Moscow State Civil Aviation Technical University, and transportation universities from India and South Africa participated in this Forum. During the forum, Deputy Secretary Bai Hua also participated in the "Middle East Railway - Harbin Exhibition", the fifth session of the China-Russia Transportation University Presidents Council, round table and other activities.

During his visit, Deputy Secretary Bai Hua visited the Moscow State University of Motor Vehicles, Vice President of Moscow Motor and Highway University Alexander Chubukov, Director of International Affairs Victor Brakotanzke, Professor of Road Materials, Yuri Vasilyev participated in the talks. The two sides agreed that the two schools have similar disciplines and a broad base of cooperation. In the future, cooperation in personnel training, scientific research and teacher exchanges will be further strengthened. After the meeting, Yuri Vasilyev, professor of the Department of Road Materials at Moscow State University of Automotive Highway, gave a detailed introduction to the latest research results in the field of pavement materials.
