On November 8th 2017, ProfessorLendley Coats Black, president ofUniversity of Minnesota Duluth, visited Chang’an University. Vice President Zhao Junhai welcomed the guest at the Academic Exchange Center, accompanied by heads of the International Office, School of Information Engineering，School of Economics and Management.

Vice President Zhao Junhai extended his warm welcome to the arrival ofProfessorLendley Coats Blackand briefly introduced Chang’an University from the perspectives of school size, characteristic of subjects, and cultivation of talents. Also, he introduced international exchanges in detail. He hoped that through this visit, both parties can further the cooperation in every field based on previous cooperation. And the two parties can have new breakthroughs in staff and students exchanges, scientific research and etc.

PresidentLendley Coats Blackexpressed his appreciation for the reception and briefly introduced recent development of University of Minnesota Duluth. He said that this visit aims to establish a high quality interaction platform for faculty members from both sides. He hoped that the two universities could further cooperation in more fields and promote closer collaborations.

After the meeting, PresidentLendley CoatsBlack visited laboratory of School of Information Engineering.The two sides discussed about the students exchange programs, joint laboratory and other specific issues, and reached broad consensus.
