On October 20th 2017, Professor Chung C. Fu, the director of Bridge Engineering Software and Technology Center in University of Maryland, visited Chang’an University for education communication. Vice President He Shuanhai welcomed the guest at the Academic Exchange Center, accompanied by heads of the International Office and School of Highway.

Vice President He Shuanhai extended his warm welcome to the arrival of Professor Chung C. Fu and briefly introduced the university from the perspectives of school size, characteristic of subjects, and cultivation of talents. He pointed out that Chang’an University thinks highly of international cooperation and communication, through Students United Training program, faculty member visit, Lab Union Construction and international conference holding, two universities can deliver and expand different kinds of educational cooperation. Vice President He Shuanhai hoped that cooperation between the two universities could be pushed forward further through this opportunity.

Professor Chung C. Fu expressed his appreciation for the reception and briefly introduced recent development of University of Maryland. Then he highly endorsed Vice President He's idea about long-term cooperation plan. He also hoped that the two universities could further cooperation in more fields and promote closer collaborations.
