On October 19th 2017, Professor Kevin Truman, Vice President of the University of Missouri, Kansas, visited Chang’an University. Vice President Zhao Junhai welcomed the guest at the Academic Exchange Center, accompanied by heads of the International Office, School of Electronic Control.

Vice President Zhao Junhai extended his warm welcome to the arrival of Professor Kevin Truman and briefly introduced the university from the perspectives of school size, characteristic of subjects, and cultivation of talents, he also highlighted the international exchanges in detail.He said that the internationalization strategy has become one of the major development strategies of Chang’an University. At present, Chang’an University has been included in national first-class discipline construction in colleges and universities. Thus, Chang’an University will certainly put forward higher requirements for international cooperation. Since international cooperation recently has a broad space for development, he hoped that two universities could promote closer collaborations and further cooperation in more fields including faculty visits, scientific research cooperation and so on.

Professor Kevin Truman expressed his appreciation for the reception and briefly introduced recent development of the University of Missouri, Kansas. Then he highly endorsed Vice President Zhao's idea about long-term cooperation plan. He said that the University of Missouri Kansas attaches great importance tocooperation with Chang’an University. His visit not only aims at beginning student joint training programs, but also promotes further cooperation in more fields.

After the meeting, Vice President Zhao Junhai and Vice President Kevin Truman signed the student joint training agreement on behalf of two universities.
