On June 7th, 2017, Professor Ramayya Krishnan, dean of H. John Heina College of Carnegie Mellon University was invited to visit Chang’an University, Vice President Zhao Xiangmo met with the guest in the Guest Hall of Academic Exchange Center, accompanied by the directors of the International Office and School of Information Engineering.
Vice President Zhao Xiangmo welcomed Professor Ramayya Krishnan and introduced the basic situation of Chang’an university from the scale of university, characteristics of the disciplines, personnel training and international exchange. He expressed the hope that student exchange could be strengthened through the visit of Professor Ramayya Krishnan, and the two sides would focus on promoting the joint education of graduate students, teacher exchanges and cooperation in scientific research. The two universities will work together to expand areas of cooperation, and constantly improve the width and depth of cooperation between the two universities
Professor Ramayya Krishnan expressed gratitude towards our university for the warm reception, and showed his agreement to the work assumptions put forward by Vice President Zhao Xiangmo. He briefly introduced the basic situation of H. John Heina College of Carnegie Mellon University. He said the program setting of two universities has a lot in common and the two universities have great potential for cooperation development. He hoped that this visit could work as an opportunity to further strengthen cooperation and communication of faculty members and students between two sides, in order to promote bilateral cooperation in the field of scientific research, and strive to promote both sides to establish closer relations of cooperation.
After the meeting, Professor Ramayya Krishnan visited the laboratory of School of Information Engineering and had a discussion with faculty members.
