On May 18th, 2017, the chairman of International Association of Asphalt Pavements and the professor of University of Lyon, France, Hervé Di Benedetto was invited to visit our university. Vice President Zhao Junhai welcomed him in the Guest Hall at the Academic Exchange Center, accompanied by the chief directors of International Affair Office, and the School of Highway.

Vice President Zhao Junhai expressed a warm welcome to the arrival of Professor Hervé Di Benedetto and recalled the scene when two sides last talking happily. He pointed out that Chang’ an University has deployed the internationalization as one of the most significant development strategies, the school attaches great importance to exchanges and cooperation with universities around the world. In addition to efforts to build a variety of overseas learning exchange platform for students and encourage and support faculty visits abroad, study and participate in various international cooperation projects, also actively explore new ways to invite and introduce more international high level teachers to give lectures or teach . Vice President Zhao expressed the hope that Professor Hervé Di Benedetto will continue to make corresponding contributions to the discipline construction, scientific research, academic exchanges and personnel training, and further promote the development of relevant disciplines.
Professor Hervé Di Benedet expressed his appreciation for our warm treatment. He mentioned that he would spare no effort to carry on promoting the cooperation between both sides, expanding the depth and extent of collaboration between two sides and sincerely hoped to build long-term and steady relationships with Chang’ an university.
After the meeting, Professor Hervé Di Benedetto gave an academic presentation named “research and practice ---the testing and mathematical modelingof adhesive and non-adhesive particles”.
