On the March 13th2017, Scott Sheppard, Vice President of Queensland University of Technology, visited our university. Vice President Zhao Junhai welcomed the guests at the Academic Exchange Center, accompanied by heads of the International Office.
Vice President Zhao extended his warm welcome to the arrival of Scott Sheppard and briefly introduced the college from the perspectives of school size, characteristic of subjects, and cultivation of talents. Also, he introduced international exchanges in detail.Zhao said that Queensland University of Technology was a world-famous research university and had a great academic reputation, especially in engineering, architecture and humanities and social science. He also pointed out that Scott Sheppard, as the old friend of our university, contributed a lot to the cooperation. He hoped that through this visit, both parties can further the cooperation in every field based on previous cooperation. And the two parties can have new breakthroughs in staff and students exchanges, scientific research and etc.
Vice President Scott Sheppard expressed his appreciation for the reception and briefly introduced recent development of Queensland University of Technology. Then he highly endorsed Vice President Zhao's idea about long-term cooperation plan. He also hoped that the two universities could further cooperation in more fields and promote closer collaborations.
After the meeting, teachers in charge of international programs made a lecture about “2+2 Dual Degree Joint Training Program” in Conference Center of Weishui Campus. In the lecture, admissions requirements, application process and graduate employment were illustrated in detail.
