On December25th 2017, Professor Park Ki Chan, vice-president of Inha University, Korea, visited Chang’an University. Vice President Zhao Junhai welcomed the guest at the Academic Exchange Center, accompanied by heads of the International Office, School of Economics and Management and Korean professor Zhang Zhongxue.
Vice President Zhao Junhai extended his warm welcome to the arrival of Professor Park Ki Chan and briefly introduced Chang’an University from the perspectives of school size, characteristic of subjects, and cultivation of talents. Also, he introduced international exchanges in detail. He hoped that through this visit, both parties can further the cooperation in every field based on previous cooperation. And the two parties can have new breakthroughs in staff and students exchanges, scientific research and etc.
Vice President Park Ki Chan expressed his appreciation for the reception and briefly introduced recent development of Inha University. He said that this visit aims to establish a high quality interaction platform for faculty members from both sides on the basis of the signing of the agreements between two universities. He hoped that the two universities could further cooperation in more fields and promote closer collaborations.
Inha University is a private research university located in Incheon, South Korea. Known traditionally for research and education in the engineering and physical sciences, the University was established by the first president of South Korea, Syngman Rhee. Inha is a Korean-American collaboration school. Started as a polytechnic university in 1954, named Inha Institute of Technology, the institute has been achieving national recognition and a strong reputation as a technological research university thereafter. Currently, Inha ranks 10th nationwide, and especially 4th in Engineering and Science, by JoongAng Ilbo's annual ranking of South Korean universities. Inha is a member of GU8. Inha University ranks 558thby QS Ranking from the year 2016 to 2017. The discipline logistic management ranks the first in Korea.
